Young Washington
This Angel Studios live-action historical drama (July 3, 2026) follows a brash, ambitious young George Washington in the years just before the French and Indian War, showing how failure and hardship shaped his character. The storytelling is earnest and values-forward, but the film earns its PG-13 honestly with repeated, intense battle sequences, on-screen deaths, and bloody wounds.
Best suited for teens 13 and up; mature tweens around 11-12 may handle it with a parent alongside, but younger children will likely find the war violence genuinely upsetting.
