YAIBA: Samurai Legend
A high-energy shonen anime following Yaiba Kurogane, a wild boy raised as a samurai in the jungle who lands in modern Japan and sets out with friends to stop a demon-possessed rival from conquering the world. The action is cartoonish and lively, but the show carries a recurring thread of boys trying to peep on or grope the main female character that sits well above what most parents expect from a kid-facing adventure series.
Confident tween viewers (13+) who enjoy action-comedy anime with fantasy battles and Japanese mythology.
Episodes to know about
Yaiba lifts Sayaka's skirt upon first meeting her; this sets up a recurring pattern of him and other characters trying to spy on or see her undressed, played as comedy throughout the series.
Characters repeatedly attempt to peep on Sayaka while she is changing or bathing, and make comments about her appearance; the gag recurs in multiple episodes and is never treated as wrong.
Hot-springs episode centers on the group visiting an onsen, providing the setting for additional peeping and changing-room humor involving Sayaka.
