Wreck-It Ralph
A big-hearted arcade villain goes game-hopping to earn a hero's medal, finding genuine friendship along the way. The message about belonging and self-acceptance is wonderful, though a few sequences pack real tension and some imagery skews darker than typical animated fare.
Most comfortable for kids 7 and up; confident 5- and 6-year-olds can join with a grown-up nearby for the scarier stretches.
