Wildwood
This gorgeous LAIKA stop-motion adventure is darker and more intense than most animated films, earning its PG-13 for strong fantasy violence with bloody images, suicide-related themes, and more. It is best understood as a middle-grade epic aimed squarely at older kids and teens rather than the typical animated family crowd.
Confident readers and older tweens aged 10 and up who enjoy big, dark fantasy adventures.
