Until Dawn is a rated-R slasher horror film adapted from the survival-horror video game, following five friends who are trapped in a time loop and brutally killed by changing threats every night. The content is extreme across the board, with relentless graphic gore, pervasive strong language, supernatural horror, and disturbing imagery throughout.
Older teens and adults who enjoy horror; firmly not suitable for children or younger teens.

The film opens with backstory on the missing sister before the tone shifts.
After the first 10 minutes the film shifts into sustained horror mode and remains intensely scary and gory for virtually the entire remaining runtime.
The first round of killings introduces graphic slasher deaths including a body found cut in half with blood shown; sets the level of gore for the rest of the film.
