The Sheep Detectives
A charming and surprisingly heartfelt family mystery in which a flock of CGI sheep investigate the murder of their beloved shepherd in a cozy English village. The humor and whimsy are real, but the film carries genuine emotional weight around grief, loss, and a climactic animal-peril sequence that is more intense than the woolly packaging suggests.
Best enjoyed together with children ages 7 and up; younger or more sensitive kids will need a grown-up beside them for the heavier moments.

The shepherd George is found lying still in the field by the sheep; the camera lingers on his outstretched hand and the flock's quiet devastation before the mystery begins.
In a brief flashback-style sequence, George staggers out of his trailer, struggles with the effects of poison, and falls to the ground; his death is shown on screen though without gore.
A flashback shows the ram Sebastian being forced to fight attacking dogs at a carnival, with visible wounds on the ground afterward; the scene is brief but upsetting.
