The Secret World of Arrietty
This gorgeous Studio Ghibli film follows tiny Arrietty as her family of Borrowers navigates life beneath the floorboards of a human home. It is a quiet, beautifully animated adventure with only a handful of tense moments and no violence, gore, or language to speak of.
A lovely pick for most kids 6 and up; sensitive 4- and 5-year-olds can enjoy it with a little heads-up about the cat and crow scenes.

During Arrietty's first borrowing trip, she glimpses rats with glowing red eyes in a dark passage; they do not approach or harm her but may startle young children.
The family cat stalks Arrietty and is then attacked by a large crow competing for her; no one is hurt, but the scene is the most action-filled moment in the first half.
A crow becomes trapped in a window screen, squawking and flapping loudly while Arrietty clings to the ledge; the housekeeper rushes in shouting and beats the crow with a shoe to dislodge it.
