The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes
This prequel follows a young Coriolanus Snow as mentor during an early, brutal version of the Hunger Games, and it earns its PG-13 firmly with sustained arena violence, on-screen executions, poison, snake attacks, and deeply dark themes about power and cruelty. It is a well-crafted film aimed squarely at older teens and adults, not younger children.
Confident teens aged 13 and up who are already familiar with the Hunger Games series and comfortable with intense, morally heavy storytelling.
