The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish
This report covers the full 20-episode run of the series, which aired on Nickelodeon in 2024 and arrived on Netflix in two batches: episodes 1–10 in November 2024 and episodes 11–20 in June 2025 (labeled 'Season 2' by Netflix, though it is the second half of the same single season). It is a warm, fast-paced animated comedy built around wish-gone-wrong misadventures, with a kind-hearted 10-year-old protagonist and a tone that is noticeably gentler and more feelings-forward than the original Fairly OddParents.
Most comfortable for kids 6 and up; a handful of spookier episodes (noted below) may give sensitive viewers under 7 a pause.
Episodes to know about
A wish causes a character's fears to physically manifest as creepy copies of her, one of which grows a spider body; the fear-clones speak in unison in a monotone voice and cannot be wished away, and the episode ends with 'fear itself' possessing the character and confronting Hazel directly. Widely noted as the scariest episode in the series.
A zombie-apocalypse parody episode where students who go into pudding withdrawal begin chasing anyone who might have it; school lights go out as the chase begins. Played for comedy but the setup may feel intense for younger or more sensitive kids.
An animatronic character comes to life and takes on a menacing, obsessive personality that traps the kids inside a play area; a jungle gym is revealed to contain tally marks and human bones.
