Tarzan
Disney's beloved animated Tarzan is a gorgeous, action-packed adventure with a warm heart, but it carries some of the most intense content in the Disney canon. The opening is genuinely heavy, several characters die on or just off screen, and the villain's death at the end is unusually graphic for an animated film.
Most comfortable for children 6 and up who have already handled films like The Lion King; the opening and final sequences are too intense for most preschoolers.

The opening sequence shows a family escaping a burning ship, building a treehouse, and then a leopard attack that kills both a baby gorilla and Tarzan's parents off screen; bloody paw prints and the aftermath are shown clearly.
The same leopard then attacks infant Tarzan inside the treehouse and chases his adoptive gorilla mother Kala through the trees in a tense extended chase.
Jane is chased at high speed through the jungle by a large aggressive troop of sharp-toothed baboons; the sequence is frantic and lasts several minutes.
