Stranger Things: Tales from '85
This animated Netflix spin-off covers two seasons (S1: April 2026, S2: September 2026) and follows the Hawkins gang battling new Upside Down creatures set between the live-action show's seasons 2 and 3. It's lighter and funnier than the original Stranger Things, but the monsters, peril, and scary imagery are still a real presence throughout both seasons.
Confident, monster-loving kids around 10 and up are the sweet spot, though brave 8- and 9-year-olds who already love spooky adventure stories may handle it fine with a parent nearby.

A snow-lurking shark-like monster drags two side characters under the surface while they scream; they do not return. A Demogorgon-like head latches onto a human face. Sets the creature-horror tone for the whole season.
