Sonic the Hedgehog 3
The third Sonic film is the most intense entry in the series, mixing zippy slapstick humor with a noticeably darker story involving a vengeful new villain, on-screen character deaths, and persistent peril. The fun and comedy are still very much here, but the emotional weight and action stakes are a clear step up from the first two movies.
Comfortable for most kids 8 and up; sensitive children may find the peril and a child character's death upsetting even at that age.
