Sonic the Hedgehog 2
This fast-paced, video-game-inspired sequel is packed with cartoon action and slapstick humor as Sonic teams up with Tails to stop the returning Dr. Robotnik. It is a step up in intensity from the first film, with more extended action set pieces and a couple of genuinely tense moments, but nothing is graphic or gory.
A great pick for kids who loved the first Sonic film and are comfortable with lively cartoon action; most confident around age 7 and up.

Sonic attempts a solo hero outing that goes comically wrong, involving a high-speed chase, explosions, and Sonic being flung around; energetic but played for laughs.
