Sonic Prime
Sonic Prime is a fast-paced, colorful multiverse adventure across all three seasons (2022–2024) where Sonic accidentally shatters his world and must race through parallel dimensions to fix it, learning along the way that teamwork and humility matter more than speed. The show earns its TV-Y7 rating through frequent cartoon action and a handful of emotionally tense moments, but stays bloodless and warm-hearted throughout.
Great for kids around 6 and up who love action cartoons; sensitive children under 6 may find the battle sequences and darker alternate-universe villains a bit much.
Episodes to know about
The series opener establishes the action baseline: Sonic and friends battle Eggman's robots, Sonic is hit by a bus and crashes into things comically, and the multiverse-shattering explosion kicks off the plot.
Chase sequences through Eggman's dystopian cityscape are frequent throughout Season 1 and can feel relentless for younger viewers.
Eggman's giant robots and the darker alternate-universe settings (particularly the post-apocalyptic 'No Place' dimension) have an imposing, slightly threatening look.
