Snow White
Disney's live-action musical remake follows the classic fairy tale with Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, adding new songs and story beats alongside the familiar ones. The film carries genuine warmth and courage at its heart, but several scenes are darker and more visceral than the 1937 animated original.
Most comfortable for children 7 and up; younger kids who already love princess stories can enjoy it with a parent nearby for the scarier stretches.

Narration describes Snow White's mother dying of illness; handled gently and briefly, but may prompt questions from young children.
After the huntsman threatens Snow White with a knife and lets her go, she flees through a dark forest where trees grasp at her, a large owl lunges with claws out, and she falls repeatedly; one of the most intense stretches of the film for young viewers.
The huntsman is ordered to kill Snow White and bring back her heart; the extended threat and chase make this the film's peak-tension scene.
