School Spirits
School Spirits is a TV-MA supernatural murder mystery on Paramount+ following a teenage girl who wakes up as a ghost and investigates her own death alongside other student spirits. This report covers the full series across all three seasons, which share consistent themes and content.
Best suited for mature teens 15 and up, ideally watched with a trusted adult given the heavy themes.
Episodes to know about
The series establishes its tone immediately with Maddie discovering she is dead; dark supernatural atmosphere, ghostly figures, and tense imagery are present from the opening episode.
Each ghost character's backstory is revealed gradually; these include murder, accidental death from an allergic reaction, death in a fire, and references to torture, making grief and death a near-constant undercurrent.
Strong profanity including f-bombs appears throughout the series in everyday dialogue, not just in high-stakes moments.
