Robocar Poli

TV show · 2011

This South Korean 3D animated series follows a friendly rescue team of transforming vehicles — police car Poli, fire truck Roy, ambulance Amber, and helicopter Helly — as they keep the cheerful Brooms Town safe across 120 eleven-minute episodes spanning five seasons. The series as a whole is warm and pro-social, though each episode is built around a small accident or mishap, so brief moments of peril (characters trapped, stuck, or in danger) are a recurring feature by design.

A great fit for preschoolers and early-elementary kids who love vehicles, robots, and first-responder themes, roughly ages 3 and up.

Rescue sirens activate at the start of nearly every episode when the team is called out; predictable enough that most children quickly habituate to them.
