Remember the Titans

Movie · 2000

A true-story sports drama about a newly integrated high school football team in 1971 Virginia, led by Denzel Washington as Coach Boone. The film's heart is genuinely uplifting, but it moves through the ugliness of the era honestly, including racial slurs, street unrest, and a serious car accident.

Most comfortable for kids 10 and up who can discuss historical prejudice and understand the context of racial slurs used to show what was wrong, not to celebrate it.
