Puss in Boots

Movie · 2011

This swashbuckling DreamWorks spin-off follows the dashing cat Puss on a fairy-tale heist adventure packed with swordplay, humor, and a heartfelt story about friendship and betrayal. It earns its PG rating with cartoon action, mild innuendo, and one emotional character death, but it is a notch gentler than the Shrek films overall.

A great pick for kids around 6 and up who enjoy adventure with laughs; very sensitive children or those under 5 may find the chase sequences and the character death upsetting.
