Parks and Recreation
This report covers the full series run (Seasons 1–7, 2009–2015), plus the 2020 reunion special. Parks and Recreation is a warm, funny mockumentary about small-town government workers, and while it has genuine heart and positive role models, it carries a consistent layer of adult humor, suggestive content, mild language, and social drinking that makes it a better fit for teens than young children.
Best enjoyed by teens 13 and up; some mature-skewing humor and recurring adult situations make it a stretch even for tweens without a parent nearby.
Episodes to know about
Much of this episode takes place in a strip club, with blurred female nudity and women in revealing outfits; the setting is played for comedy.
A full episode plot centers on marijuana found growing in a community garden, with jokes about the plant throughout.
The 'Ron and Tammy' episodes (recurring across the series) feature Ron's ex-wife behaving in a sexually aggressive and manipulative way toward him; her behavior is explicit in implication if not depiction.
