Paddington in Peru
Paddington's third big-screen adventure whisks him and the Brown family to the Amazon jungle in search of his missing Aunt Lucy, delivering the same warm heart and gentle slapstick the series is known for. The jungle setting adds a little more peril and a handful of spookier images than the London-set films, but nothing lands with real menace.
Most comfortable for children 6 and up; sensitive 5-year-olds can enjoy it with a grown-up beside them.
If you’d rather skip
Young Paddington falls from a tree into raging river rapids and is swept toward a waterfall before being rescued; sets an adventurous but mildly scary tone right away.
A bear statue suddenly opens its mouth and roars, which is abrupt and may startle younger viewers.
The Reverend Mother's room features a drawing of a child surrounded by sinister jungle creatures, and she clearly fears the forest spirits.
