Nature: Sesame Street and the Great Elephant Adventure
This warm PBS Nature x Sesame Workshop crossover special premiered October 14, 2026, and is exactly as gentle as that collaboration promises: Elmo, Abby Cadabby, and Nina travel to Kenya's Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to meet an orphaned elephant they adopted online, with real wildlife footage woven into the Sesame Street framing. The one area worth a heads-up is a brief, age-appropriate discussion of why some elephants lose their families, including a passing reference to poaching, handled softly and paired immediately with the hopeful story of sanctuary care.
A wonderful fit for preschoolers and early-elementary children who love animals, and a genuinely enriching watch for adults alongside them.
