Mean Girls

Movie · 2004

This sharp, funny high school satire is firmly PG-13 territory: it packs in frequent crude language and sexual references, underage drinking, and sustained social bullying that forms the heart of the plot. The story does land on a positive message about honesty and kindness, but the road getting there is built for teens, not young kids.

Best suited to teens 13 and up, ideally with a parent nearby for the first watch.
