Masters of the Universe

Movie · 2026

This Amazon MGM live-action He-Man adventure (theatrically released June 5, 2026, rated PG-13) is a campy, action-packed fantasy romp that skews considerably darker and more intense than the beloved 1980s cartoon many parents grew up with. Frequent battle violence, moderate profanity, recurring adult-coded sexual innuendo, and a genuinely menacing skull-faced villain make this a firm tween-and-up watch rather than one for young children.

Best for kids 12 and up; mature 10–11-year-olds may enjoy it alongside a parent who is comfortable pausing for conversation.
