LEGO Ninjago: Dragons Rising
A high-energy animated action-adventure following new ninja Arin and Sora as they learn to master their elemental powers in a world changed by a cataclysmic event called 'The Merge.' This report covers the full series across all aired seasons, noting that Season 2 steps up the emotional intensity noticeably compared to Season 1.
Most comfortable for kids 7 and up; younger or more sensitive children may find Season 2's darker turns and on-screen dragon death upsetting.
Episodes to know about
Arin's parents are missing and presumed gone after the Merge; his grief and longing come up repeatedly and he struggles to connect with his new found-family.
Fantasy battle sequences with laser-shooting ships, elemental powers, and weapon-wielding characters appear in nearly every episode; all action is bloodless LEGO-style.
Rapid bright flashes during power activations and combat could affect photosensitive viewers; present throughout both seasons.
