How to Train Your Dragon 2
This visually stunning sequel takes Hiccup and Toothless into darker, more emotionally complex territory than the first film, with larger battle sequences and a significant on-screen death of a beloved character. The themes of family, courage, and forgiveness are beautifully handled, but the intensity is a real step up from the original.
Best for kids 8 and up who can handle loss and tense action; sensitive viewers around that age may want a parent close by.

Dragon racing gameplay shows sheep being flung by catapult and riders knocked off dragons with sledgehammer weapons; energetic and loud but played as fun sport.
Hiccup uses a wingsuit to glide and nearly crashes into a boulder; Toothless falls into water and briefly struggles, appearing to start drowning before being rescued.
Drago is an imposing, physically intimidating villain who chokes and strikes his own men; a flashback shows him ordering dragons to burn a hall full of chieftains, with all but one implied to have been killed (deaths not shown).
