FernGully: The Last Rainforest

Movie · 1992

A G-rated animated musical about a fairy named Crysta who shrinks a human logger and together they fight to save their rainforest from both a greedy logging company and a terrifying pollution spirit named Hexxus. The environmental message is warm and earnest, the songs are fun, and Robin Williams brings big comic energy as a lovably chaotic bat — but Hexxus is a genuinely dark villain that can startle sensitive younger viewers.

Great for kids around 6 and up; sensitive children under 5 may find the villain and the loud tree-leveling machinery upsetting.
