Despicable Me

Movie · 2010

A lovably grumpy supervillain named Gru accidentally has his heart melted by three spirited orphan girls he originally adopts as part of a scheme. The action and humor are cartoonish throughout, and the story wraps up with a genuinely warm message about found family.

Great for kids around 6 and up; sensitive 5-year-olds may find a handful of tense moments worth watching alongside a grown-up.
